We are looking for the right person who has solid jQuery programming skills to join our team to work on our web integration options. 


Title: jQuery Programmer


Main Job Function: Primarily responsible for jQuery Gadget work, but there will also be Perl coding work in related API's.

Location: 100% virtual

Position Type: Contract to begin with, moving to full or part time based on ability and availability

Salary: To be negotiated

Reports to: Director of R&D


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Understand, use and follow donor.com TDDE methdology (Triage, Discovery of outcomes, Definition of work, final Estimate) on all assigned tasks
  • Execute assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Understand, and organize work related to JSON donor.com gadgets
  •  Acknowledge, and deal with specific Gadget related tickets
  •  Coordinate and work with other staff to triage, build and implement enhancements to Gadgets as directed.
  •  Learn and understand donor.com WebWare API's and their integration with Gadgets
  •  Work cooperatively with other donor.com resources
  • Respond to and execute internal assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Responsible to track and record time worked in our online ticket tracking system as a contractor.

 


Qualifications:

  • Solid background in jQuery is mandatory and developing for the web
  • Perl programming experience is highly desired
  • donor.com is primarily a Mac and Linux environment, although some knowledge of Windows is required
  • A strong independant work ethic is needed as donor.com is 100% virtual

 


Other, critical details:

  • A background criminal record and credit check (to comply with Payment Card Industry security procedures) may be required
  • The 15 minute rule means that getting stuck for hours on end is a loose - loose scenario: you need to push out details and seek help
  • Good team work skills, written skills, and upfront communication is required.
  • Working closely with the TDDE process manager is critically important.
  • Work smart: testing work, thouroughness, making back up copies of critical files, are critical good work habits.
  • Assist in writing, and maintaining documentation online

Title: Denver Linux Systems Manager


Job Position:  Maintain and improve the hardware, network, security of DonorWare’s (dba donor.com) infrastructure.


Reports to:  COO


Compensation:  To be negotiated.  Benefit program is available for full time employees.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain Denver systems, administrate and maintain PCI security of the systems.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • execute Maintenance Window policies and procedures in coordination with R&D Project Manager
  • monitor existing systems for disruptions or security compromises and execute Incident Response policies and procedures
  • participate in after-hours on call schedule for monitoring and response to issues according to corporate oncall policies, procedures and bonus pay
  • monitor existing systems (including network, security, hardware and operating systems) for compliance with donor.com policies and/or sub-optimal performance and make recommendations to Supervisor for improvements and optimizations
  • ensure existing systems (including network, security, hardware and operating systems) are accurately and adequately documented
  • execute tasks and tickets as allocated by Supervisor, thereby supporting both internal staff and client-facing users
  • be knowledgeable of, meet and maintain Payment Card Industry security policies and procedures.
  • monitor new ticket activity in assigned Triage Pools
  • track time in Ticket Tracking system in accordance with donor.com polices and procedures
  • stay current on all corporate policies and procedures
  • actively pursue clear written and oral communication with peers and Supervisor

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Payment Card Industry (PCI) and DSS experience is desired, and an understanding that doing security according to policy is important.
  • Living in the Denver area, and available for crisis as well as planned hands on hardware work is critical.
  • A linux administrator first, is important, and Windows knowledge of minor importance. 
  • A strong independant work ethic is needed as donor.com is 100% virtual

  • Adherence to donor.com’s coding style guide, multi-tier architecture, and peer review of code is essential

  • Execute assigned tasks in a timely manner

  • Understand, and organize work related to Perl and the donor.com infrastructure

  • Acknowledge, and complete specific Perl related tickets

  • Coordinate and work with other staff to triage, build and implement enhancements, bug fixes, QA and deployment as directed.
