Rather than the traditional software model of writing a new feature once and charging many clients for the same thing, donor.com only charges once. When one client funds a new feature for our system, that feature is available to all other clients without having to pay for it as a separate module or feature. There may be some hosting or support costs associated with the new feature, but we will only charge for the development of the new feature once. We also encourage clients to collaborate and co-fund enhancements. So if several clients want a similar feature, they can split the cost, and we will only charge to recover our programming costs.
